3/28/12 Kayaking Big Island with Kids

We took our sometimes timid kids (7 and 10 years old) on the six hour Kealakekua Bay tour, and it was one of the highlights of their trip. They were both first timers kayaking and snorkeling, but our guide Spencer was very careful and patient with them. When they had trouble with getting in and out of the kayaks, or with their snorkeling equipment, Spencer was just great at making them feel safe and comfortable. All in all it was a blast and the kids couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had and how they wanted to kayak and snorkel again. Iwa was also excellent in spending a lot of time with me on the phone beforehand to make sure I felt good about their experience with kids.
