Hawaii Japanese Tour: 安心、快適なカヤック＆スノーケル体験
半日カヤックをレンタルしました。
カヤックを借りる場所は丘の上、そこからレンタカーにカヤックを乗せて自分でベイまで向かい、遊んだ後は再び自分でショップまで持ち帰ります。
出発前に、ベイまでの行き方から、ケアラケクア湾内での遊び方について簡単な指導を受けます。
因みに、一度カヤックで出発したら、その出発点以外での上陸は許されません。上陸には別途許可を持ってる必要があります。ただ、キャプテンクックの記念塔周りは非常に綺麗で静かなスノーケル地帯。自分でカヤックのロープを引っ張りながら120%スノーケルを楽しむことが出来ます。
放任過ぎて初めは不安もありましたが、終わってみると、この緩さと信頼感の中、のんびりと自分たちの遊びを楽しめたことが非常に心地よく感じられました。
ショップの話によると、ベイの周りにもレンタルショップがあり、不法営業しているそうです。
そこでは客への指導を一切しないそうで、現れたイルカを追い回したり、落石の危険があるエリアに上陸を試みたりするらしく、ここのショップで話を聞きながら、自然を汚さず、侵さずに遊ばせてもらう各自の意識の必要性を改めて感じました。
