We went on the half day Kayak trip to Captain Cook Monument with Makai. It was a fantastic experience. It really could have been called "History, Culture, Marine Park Conservation Tour". Makai was so knowledgable and such a great story teller. He kept us enthralled as we paddled across the Bay. It was obvious that he felt a deep responsibility of stewardship to the land, people, and marine environment . This was so much more than just a kayak paddle. The huge school of Spinner Dolphins was a delight and Makai was very patient letting us linger past time. The snorkelling was wonderful. Thanks again to Makai's instructions on caring for the reef.
