I did the Kealakekua Bay Big Island kayak tour... as it turned out, I visited in a slow season and I was the only one on the tour. John was a great guide and I had a really great day.
The only thing I could have asked for was a bit more paddling (this particular tour is only about 2.2 miles).
Iwa (the owner), Bulldozer (his dog), and John (one of your potential guides) will treat you right. Would do it again without a second thought.
