Here is some footage of Iwa Kalua Owner of Aloha Kayak Co. and one of his trusty guides John Nerney as they clean up remnants of the destruction that ripped through the Napoopoo village and affected the fragile environment surrounding this small community.
Iwa and his staff spent ten days cleaning both the shoreline and the coral beds inside Kealakekua bay hauling out tons of debris. The Bay came back to its normal beautiful self again thanks to the efforts of the entire village and surrounding communities.
Mother nature also contributed with a small swell and strong currents to rip debris from the shores of Napoopoo and Ka'awaloa Point.
